Tactile Tact Push Button Switch High-Current Upgrade: 0.3A to 2A for Global Industry

2026-03-20

1. Background & Upgrade Purpose

Against the backdrop of industrial upgrading and intelligent equipment iteration, the performance requirements for core electronic components are constantly increasing. As a key human-computer interaction component in various electronic devices, the Tactile Push Switch (also known as Tact Switch, a type ofTactile Tact Push Button Switch) plays a critical role in circuit on-off control. The traditionalTactile Tact Push Button Switch with a rated current of 0.3A can no longer meet the power needs of high-power equipment in fields such as industrial control and automotive electronics. To address this pain point, we launched a targeted upgrade solution, successfully increasing its rated current from 0.3A to 2A while ensuring stability, durability and compatibility, even compatible with some standard Micro Button Switch models, providing reliable support for global customers’ equipment upgrading and process optimization.

2. Limitations of Traditional 0.3A Switches

The Tactile Tact Push Button Switch is an instantaneous contact electronic switch, which works through the cooperation of mechanical and electrical structures: pressing the button turns on the circuit, releasing it turns off the circuit, with clear tactile feedback. Restricted by material selection and structure, the traditional 0.3A model is only suitable for low-power scenarios. In high-current environments, it is prone to problems such as contact overheating and poor conduction, which limits its application scope and affects equipment operation.

3. Core Upgrade Measures

Targeting the above pain points, we implemented a full-chain upgrade for theTactile Push Switch and Tactile Tact Push Button Switch, rather than simple parameter adjustment. While ensuring the ability to bear 2A high current, it retains the characteristics of small size, sensitivity and easy installation, consistent with the installation convenience of ordinaryMicro Button Switch. - Contact material: High-quality silver alloy (AgSnO₂) is adopted, with contact resistance controlled below 100mΩ, avoiding overheating and extending service life. - Internal shrapnel: Upgraded to high-elasticity beryllium copper, ensuring clear tactile feedback and no easy deformation. - Structure optimization: High-temperature and flame-retardant shell ensures insulation and prevents high-temperature short circuits; internal sealing is upgraded to IP54 dustproof and waterproof, adapting to harsh industrial environments.

4. Compatibility & Performance Advantages

The upgraded product has the same installation size and interface as the traditional 0.3A model and conventional Micro Button Switch, allowing customers to directly replace it, greatly reducing upgrade costs and cycles. The upgraded 2A Tactile Push Switch (high-current version of Tactile Tact Push Button Switch) has obvious advantages: its current-carrying capacity is increased by nearly 7 times, and its electrical life exceeds 500,000 times, higher than the industry average and even better than some standard Micro Button Switch models. It is widely used in high-power scenarios such as industrial control, automotive electronics and energy storage, capable of stably controlling equipment operation, adapting to harsh environments of -40℃~125℃ and ensuring signal stability.
